The wounds of sexual and physical abuse run deep and healing can take a long time - it can be a very long road.

That road can be a lot shorter when working with someone who has been there!

Judy Walsh (now Judy van Niekerk) started this site in 2001 a few months after her father was sentenced to a total of 52 years in prison - although the sentences will run concurrently he will serve a total of 13 years.

Judy's father, Noel Walsh was tried in open court in November 2000 (Judy requested the court be out of camera, renouncing her right to anonymity) for a long list of sexual and violent offenses against Judy spanning almost two decades.

Public interest in the story has been so substantial, she felt she needed to do something about it.

So she set up this platform for people to be able to get hold of her, so they could learn to not only move on but thrive after abuse - like Judy has.
